Carefree II is sloop rigged with a brand new Hood roller furling system installed in 2005.

She has a shoal draft keel that draws 4 feet - perfect for the Intracoastal, the Keys and Bahamas.


Carefree II was hauled in 2005 for routine maintenance including a new bottom job. All thru hulls were replaced and gate valves switched out with the more desirable seacocks.

The cabin has over 6 feet of headroom with a spacious 11 foot 6 inch beam.


The dinette drops down and makes a comfortable sleeping quarter.

The galley consists of a three burner propane stove w/oven, a stainless sink with hot/cold pressurized water and an Adler Barbour refridgeration system.

The V-berth and Quarter berth cushions (under the quilt) were professionaly reupholstered in 2005.

"Carefree II " is a desirable turnkey sloop designed by renowned architect Ted Irwin. She's a shoal draft (4 feet) sloop rigged boat with a brand new professionally installed Hood Roller furling system. At time of install the rigging was also inspected and a couple swage fittings were replaced with the more desirable staylocks.

Layout & Accomodations: The V-berth and quarter berth cushions were recently professionally reupholstered in a neutral tan. Aft of forward v-berth and to port is the head with stainless sink, vanity w/ two drawers, a shower head (hot and cold water), a porcelain toilet w/manual overboard or to holding tank. A hanging locker is to starboard. The main salon consists of a convertible dinette to port and a settee to starboard covered in Hawaiian print upholstrey. There's plenty of cabinets and shelves for storage behind the seat backs. To aft on portside is the quarter berth and nav station with the galley to starboard. There are 10 opening ports and 2 overhead hatches with solar vents.

The Galley includes a newer Adler Barbour refrigeration, a three burner Hillerange propane stove with oven, pressurized water system with recently installed Force 10 hot water heater, and stainless steel sink.

Electrical: Four new 27 sized deep cycle batteries installed in 2005 - three house, one starting. Two parrallel switches, Nautilus automatic battery charger, shore power with five 110 outlets in cabin, dockside electrical cable, control panel near companion way. Nav station includes Garmin GPS, new Jensen AM/FM CD player, VHF radio and Navigator Log for speed and distance.

Hull and Deck: Danforth anchor w/chain, bow and stern rails, stanchions with lifelines, stainless bimini, fenders and lines, new stainless swim boarding ladder.

Sails & Rigging: Cruise equipped aluminum spar mast stepped on deck with wire s/s standing rigging, manual boom vang, new Hood roller furling in 2005, 145% jib, mainsail, traveler, and spreader lights.

Mechanical Equipment & Engine Details: Recently serviced Yanmar 3GMF fresh water cooled diesel engine runs like a top. Recent maintenance includes fuel tank flush, new fuel filters (Racor and primary), fuel pump and water impeller, new fiberglass aqua lift water/exhaust with hose and fittings, new mixing elbow and oil change. Also installed a brand new and properly matched three bladed prop.

Large cockpit includes recently installed Autohelm ST4000 on helmstation with compass, depth sounder and folding teak cockpit table.

CAREFREE II is at dock at the Anchorage Yacht Basin in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida and ready to sail away to your dock or the Bahamas.
