A new stainless
framed bimini covers from just forward of the companion way to back
behind the helm station. Side and rear panels zip in to fully enclose
the cockpit. New matching sail cover.

The
forward berth is quite spacious with standing headroom in entrance.
The anchor locker lies forward with hanging locker, shelves and
desktop space to port. A 60 gallon fresh water tank is below the
mattress.

The
dinette is newly re-formiced and drops down to accommodate a double
sleeping quarter. New hull liner with West Marine speakers for the
JVC stereo CD. Lots of storage is underneath each bench seat. New
carpet just installed (not shown).

The
back rest of the sette swings up to give you room for another comfortable
sleeping area. There are also eight opening ports to keep the boat
cool during hot summer days. Screens are also velcroed in at the
forward hatch and rear companion way to keep out any unwanted guests.
The
Bombay Clipper is an ideal cruiser for the Bahamas, Caribbean and
the Keys.

GUSTO's modified
full keel draws only 3.5 feet! The full battened main and roller
furling jib by North Sails and are both in excellent shape.
The spacious cockpit is great for entertaining. Stainless Magma
grill on the stern rail, built in outside cooler, and stainless
ladder off the transom.

The standing
head has a marine (porcelain) head w/shower and stainless sink.

The Bombay Clipper
is the predecessor to the prestigious Island Packet line and was
designed by renowned naval architect Bob Johnson.
"Gusto"
is a desirable turnkey sloop that's been well maintained and features
over 6 feet of standing headroom with a spacious 11 foot beam and
a 3 1/2 foot draft - which makes it ideal for cruising the Intracoastal,
the Keys or the Bahamas.
Her (North)
sails include a single line roller furling jib and a full battened
double reefed main that are both in excellent shape. She has a new
sail cover and stainless framed bimini that comes with a full dodger
and side panels to fully enclose the cockpit during those cool nights
or stormy days. The traveler, roller furling and jib sheets are
easily handled from the helm station.
The helm station
includes a pedestal wheel and Autohelm 3000 w/remote and a freshly
varnished teak table that's great for entertaining. There are two
12V outlets on the helm station where you can plug in the lighted
compass that fits securely onto the teak cockpit table. The split
stay is a great convenience for comfort while sailing behind the
helm. There's a convenient built in cooler underneath the starboard
cockpit cushion for easy access to your cold drinks. You can also
cool off by stepping down the stainless ladder off the transom to
take a swim then grill up them burgers or fish fillets on the stainless
Magma Grill that hangs off the stern rail.
On deck are the high gunnels from mid-ship to bow
with a built in fiberglass bowsprit that holds a Danforth anchor
on plenty of line and chain. There are no soft spots on the deck
- it's solid.
Down below in
the galley is a stainless sink with an Adler Barbour 12 volt refrigeration
system, a large pantry for storing dry goods and a Sea Cook single
burner propane stove.
The head includes
an enclosed porcelin marine toilet, a stainless sink with shower
adapter that drains out to the through hull along with plenty of
storage including drawers and a hanging closet.
A large dinette
drops down into a double bed, a sette folds up to sleep another
person and the large forward berth has plenty of headroom and an
additional hanging closet. All cushions have new canvas. The new
gray hull liner compliments the sky blue upholstrey. The 110V shore
power supplies AC to four seperate outlets.
A JVC am/fm
CD stereo system supplies the tunes and a Horizon VHF with mast
mounted antena keeps you in touch with fellow boaters.
There are two automatic Rule bilge pumps - one being
the primary and the other a secondary with an alarm to alert you
in case your primary fails. There's also a Whale manual bilge pump
in the spacious starboard side lazerette.
"Gusto" is powered
by a Yanmar 3GM30F 27 h.p. fresh water cooled diesel engine that
has less than 350 hours. Recent mechanical maintence procedures
include a new mixing elbow and water/exhaust hose, complete cooling
system flush, new fuel filters (primary and secondary Raycor), and
recent oil change w/filter.
The stock 35
amp alternator was replaced with a 75 amp model that works in conjunction
with a Balmar multi stage voltage regulator. The two bank battery
system includes two 27 Deep Cycle batteries for the house and a
strong starting battery to crank the engine. At port the banks are
charged by a Nautilus battery charger and are seperated by a three
way switch.
GUSTO made it
through both hurricane Frances and Jeanne unscathed while at its
dock at the Anchorage Marina near Dragon Point in Indian Harbour
Beach, Florida.
GUSTO is not
a fixer upper but a well maintained turnkey boat that's ready to
sail away today.
